It’s here now! The 2019 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss Vancouver truck lovers have been talking about has arrived at Chevrolet Truck Dealers in BC, and the TruckTrader has the goods for you. The Trail Boss is offered alongside the popular Z71 Silverado off road trim package. On the surface the differences might be confusing at first, but the major point is to realize that the Trail Boss is technically not a package, but a whole new trim level for the Silverado Truck lineup, with the Z7X Suspension Package being one of it’s defining features.
The Chevy Silverado has had a long-standing tradition of offering the Z71 off-road package. But starting with the all-new, 2019 model, all that has changed – since the 2019 Silverado introduces a new Trail Boss package that’s offered alongside the Z71 off-road package.
Chevrolet, in its running battle with the all-aluminum Ford F-150, also emphasizes that the 2019 Silverado’s cargo bed uses a higher-strength steel floor than the previous model, along with a dozen tie-down points and a choice of four tailgate variants: standard manual lockable with key; lockable with lift assist; power lockable with automatic release, and an exclusive power up and down version.
The Trail Boss package gets you a two-inch lift, aggressive 18-inch Goodyear Duratrac tires and, to back up the looks with real off-road capability, skid plates, a locking rear differential, a two-speed transfer case and Rancho shock absorbers.
